Learn to Play Hockey

Hockey 1
For players who have compete Beginner Hockey or similar skating class. Class will continue to teach proper skating technique of crossovers, stride and balance. Will also introduce backward skating, edge work, and stopping on both sides. Beginner stickhandling, passing and basic puck control will also be introduced in Hockey 1. Groups will be split by age of ability level once class begins.

Hockey 2
For players who have completed Hockey 1 or similar skill class. This class will continue teaching skating technique at a faster pace. More advanced stickhandling and puck movement drills in this class. Players are introduced to game situations and competitive drills. The goals of this class is to prepare each player for the In-House Hockey League.

The equipment needed for Class:
*Rental Skates free with Marsh Fresh Idea Card.

• Ice Hockey Helmet with Facemask
  Ice Hockey Stick
  Ice Hockey Skates *rental skates available
  Ice Hockey Gloves

(Full equipment recommended for Hockey 2)
